Cristèle Alves Meira is a Stage Director since she’s 20 years old. She directed Jean Genet’s Les Nègres and Splendid’s, then Suzan-Lori Parks’ Vénus, at the prestigious Théâtre de l’Athé- née-Louis Jouvet in Paris. She directed a documentary in Cape Verde, Som & Morabeza (52’), in which she reflected on the issues of immigration in the African Portuguese-speaking countries through the theme of music; and later through Angolan youth and its social realities, in Born in Luanda (26’). Since 2008, Cristèle Alves Meira also runs stage workshops for primary, middle school class pupils and students under the leadership of the National Scene of Saint-Quentin en Yvelines. After Sol Branco (which won the Quality Award of the CNC 2015), Cristèle shot her second short film, Campo de Víboras, again in the Tras-os-Montes area (located in the North-East part of Portugal) last January 2016, which got selected to the Cannes Critic’s Week 2016. She is currently writing her first feature film, Alma viva, developed at the famous FEMIS school in Paris (Script workshop section 2015).

Cristèle Alves Meira won the International Competition Grand Prix last year, at the 18th Tabor Film Festival, for her film Invisible Hero.

16-year-old Eminem lives in Luanda on the city’s peninsula. It is a shanty town where kids play amidst the garbage and go fishing at the garbage dump. A former juvenile delinquent previously convicted for his offenses, the young boy strives for a better life with the help of his friends, the Evangelical church, and sport.

Selena, 8, wakes up from a strange dream. She finds a Snow-White dress in her room. She is bored to death in her Summer house in Portugal, with her cousin. While their older cousin is sunbathing in the dry garden, they run away and steal a donkey to go swim to the dam. But when they hit a graveyard on the road, Selena sees the figure of an old widow dressed in black, just like in her dream. She gets scared and runs out for her life down to the dark forest, on her own…

Duarte, a blind man in his 50’s, starts to look for his Cape Verdean friend, Leandro, who mysteriously disappeared. Despite Lisbon’s summer heat, Duarte walks miles in his neighbourhood but no one seems to have seen him, nor remembers him. His quest will eventually lead him to the heart of the night and reveal his secret.
